We track Kalshi and Polymarket prices and check, country by country, whether people can actually reach them — against the regulator's own document, with the date of every check.
Does the platform accept you? A private decision by the company, published in its restricted-jurisdictions list and changed without notice.
Does your state let you in? A decision by a regulator or a judge, with no relation to what the company says.
They can have opposite answers. In Spain both platforms accept Spanish users, and a block has been ordered anyway. Most coverage conflates the two and gets it wrong.
English coverage of prediction markets is crowded. Spanish coverage is not, and the regulatory picture across Spanish-speaking markets moved fast during 2026 — most of it reported once, in English, and never updated since.
